چکیده
Background: Objective of the study was to compare serum Nesfatin 1 levels in Indian women with and without polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) evaluate association metabolic clinical parameters. Methods: 40 PCOS age body mass index (BMI) matched non controls were enrolled. Comparison hormonal (serum 1, anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), follicle stimulating (FSH), luteinizing (LH), prolactin, testosterone, estadiol) (blood pressure, fasting post prandial blood glucose insulin, HOMA-IR) (acne, acanthosis nigricans hirsutism) parameters done between two groups. Student’s t test, Mann Whitney Pearson’s correlation test used. P value <0.05 considered statistically significant. Results: There a significant difference subjects (8.6 ng/ml versus 0.75 ng/ml, p<0.01). Positive present nesfatin level plasma (r=0.009; p<0.009). A positive also AMH (r=0.512; No found other endocrine, cardiovascular Serum LH levels, LH/FSH ratio, insulin significantly higher (p<0.05) compared controls. Conclusions: ten times irrespective BMI. observed which indicates may be reliable marker suggesting energy homeostasis imbalance these women.

Metabolic and Endocrine Characteristics of Indian Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Objective Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrinological disorders among women of reproductive age and the leading cause of female infertility. This study intends to evaluate the lipid profile, hormonal levels [free T3 (fT3), free T4 (fT4), thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), insulin, luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and prolactin] in PCO...

PCOS can increase the risk of chronic metabolic complications. Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is one of the most important of them. Insulin resistance is fundamental in PCOS and MetS pathophysiology. MetS ...
